Ug. So I purchased a Nikon Z6ii about two months ago and noticed spots on the picture after purchasing two different macro lenses. You have no idea how much this rattled me. I’m on the spectrum. Silly things rattle me. Like waiting 30 years to find just the right spot to stick a sticker for fear of not finding the right spot. And a spec on a $1,500 camera that I’m wondering was a defect I didn’t notice when I bought it.
Out, out damn spot!
But I drove into Camera Solutions today expecting to wait twenty for hours and get a bill for $85 and they took it in the back and had it back to me in under two minutes, good as new. “What do I owe?” I asked, to which they said, “Nothing, you’re a valued customer!” Well, I didn’t say those exact words and they didn’t respond with those literal words but it was all pretty much as I’ve said so I’m a happy camper without debilitating spots on my pictures and all ready for my trip to Austin! Shout out again to CS, they’re one of my two favourite camera shops in Oregon (the other, obviously, being Blue Moon Camera and Machine!).
On an unrelated note here are some miscellaneous pictures I took on my Pentax K1000 SE a few weeks back.
