Good evening my friends! It’s been awhile since I’ve posted but in my defense I’ve been busy on the photography and non-photography fronts. In regard to the former I’ve been slowly building a copy table using an Ikea entertainment system table, three 4040 aluminum extensions, one wall, my trusty Nikon D7000, a Nikkor 50mm and 85mm prime Micro lenses, three SmallRig arms, two 9×9 LED lights, and a lot of patience. I already have a really good scanner for negatives, archiving family photos, etc., but after finishing up what I could scan with it, I ran into the issue of old, large family albums, photos, paintings, and documents, that were too large for the flat bed. Many months and couple hundred bucks later and here are some initial results (little to no editing besides cropping, a little contrast and exposure tweaks, and B&W conversions where they looked subjectively more interesting). Hope to have the entire album archived in a week or so after which comes the editing and all the goodness!
